What is a business line of credit?

A line of credit gives you the ability to access funds up to a certain limit when you need it and only pay interest on the portion of money you borrow. Unlike a term loan, it is not a lump-sum disbursement, as you pay down the balance of your line of credit you increase the amount available to draw in the future. It is a popular option for meeting short-term capital and cash flow needs for digital businesses.

How do you extend my business a line of credit?

Pollen VC connects directly to your app store or ad network accounts and cloud accounting systems. This allows us to ingest and verify your sales receipts and ad revenues, and then use this data to calculate the size of the line of credit we can provide. You can then draw all or part of this credit down each week. We recover the loans directly from each platform you have connected to your account.

How much credit will I have access to?

The size of the credit line your business will be provided with is dependent on a number of different factors, but is primarily determined by your accrued unpaid sales and advertising revenue from your platform accounts. We will be able to provide you with a more detailed response once you have submitted an application.

How do you access my revenue data?

We require you to grant us access to each of the app store or ad network accounts you would like to draw credit against. This allows us to ingest your daily revenue data and calculate how much to credit your Pollen VC account.

How do you keep my data secure?

We take the security of your data very seriously. All customer data is encrypted at rest and in transit following industry best practices.

How do I make repayments?

You don't! We have dedicated collection accounts for each business we work with. Bank details are changed with each platform you connect to your Pollen VC account so that we can recover your loans directly. Any payment amount received that is in excess of your loan balance is passed through to you.

Which ad networks do you support?

We work with the following Ad Networks: AdSense, Fyber, Airpush, MoPub, InMobi, Facebook Audience Network, Facebook Canvas, Applovin, MobFox, Vungle. If you would like us to consider adding support for another platform, please get in touch.

Do you invest in companies? Are you a VC?

We do not invest in companies, nor are we a Venture Capital firm. We provide credit lines that are secured against account receivables to app developers and digital businesses. Our financing can work alongside venture-backed companies or as an alternative to traditional funding options.

Can you help me with my game/app?

We do not provide consulting services to game/app developers. However, we do have a free Financial Forecaster calculator. What countries do you operate in?

We primarily operate in the United States, United Kingdom and Europe, however we do work with international companies on a case-by-case basis. We're happy to discuss how we can help you, so please get in touch!

How long will it take to receive a payment?

Payments are made weekly according to the settings you have configured in your Pollen VC dashboard. Payments typically arrive in your bank account by close of the business day on each Thursday.

How do I apply?

Simply fill out our form on our website, and we'll get back to you within 24 hours!

Am I eligible to apply?

To apply you need to have:

  1. A live app or game on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

  2. Minimum monthly revenue of $20,000

  3. Three months or more of transaction history in your business bank account.

If you can answer yes to all three, apply here.

Is my credit line secured by a personal guarantee?

No. Your credit line is not secured by a personal guarantee.

Will my application impact my personal credit rating/score?

No. We do not perform personal credit searches as part of the application process, so your personal credit score will not be affected.

Do I need invoicing or accounting software to use Pollen VC?

No. However, we may ask for accounting extracts during the application process.

What if I need more than $1 million?

If you require more than a $1 million, or are considering a traditional bank AR line, please get in touch to discuss a bespoke facility.

What if I don't use my available credit?

Your available credit will continue to accrue in your account each day until you choose to draw down. If we receive a payment from a platform you have connected to your Pollen VC account, and you do not have an outstanding loan balanc

Will my credit limit change?

We periodically review credit limits according to our credit policies. Your credit limit may be increased or decreased as a result, however we will contact you before we make any changes.

Are there termination fees if I want to leave?

There are no termination fees, just repay any outstanding loan balance.
